i do love inversions, and especially notice their (missing) benefits when i am away from practice for too long. i definitely need to spend time upside down!

I had a similar experience with purported distinctions - to me, much seemed to depend on how either pose was done - there were hot and cold ways to go about either…

Since my own arthritic hips forced me to retire from a conventional Mysore-style Ashtanga flirtation, I gave up daily inversions and can’t say I miss them. A block under the pelvis for some legs in the air suffices for me much of the time - but as medieval texts warn, I now have more grey hairs and death may not be cheated… 😅
